What should we pay attention to when using the hydraulic system of mucking loaders?

Mucking loaders are essential equipment in the mining industry, but improper operation can lead to significant dangers. To ensure safety and efficiency, it’s crucial to follow the correct hydraulic system operation procedures. Here’s a guide to help you operate your mucking loader safely:

Turn On the Power: Start by switching on the main power supply of the mucking loader.

Start the Pump and Fan: Once the indicator light is on, start the oil pump and fan. If this is your first time using the machine or if it has been reconnected, verify that the startup sequence is correct. An incorrect sequence can prevent the machine from starting.

Wait for Pressure: Allow 10 seconds for the system to start fully before applying pressure. If the machine has been shut down for over four hours, let the pump run empty for 5 to 10 minutes before applying pressure.

Lower the Blade: Lower the transport trough’s shovel plate to the ground.

Advance the Loader: Move the mucking loader forward to gather materials and level the ground.

Confirm Material Entry: Once the electric three-wheeled vehicle or other loading equipment is positioned for unloading, engage the forward conveyor. If the feed rate seems slow, adjust the acceleration lever.

Operate the Boom: Sequentially raise the main boom, extend the arm, and position the bucket parallel to the arm. Then lower the boom and retract the arm while gently moving the boom up and down to scoop the material into the transport trough. Rotate the arm to reach a broader area, adjusting the bucket as needed based on material distance.

Monitor the Scraper Chain: Pay close attention to the scraper chain’s operation. If it jams, stop the conveyor immediately to prevent overheating and damage. To clear the jam, position the conveyor control lever to the neutral position and quickly toggle it back and forth to dislodge the chain. Never leave the control lever in the reverse position when there is material in the transport trough, as this could break the chain or scraper.

By adhering to these operational guidelines, you can minimize the risk of accidents and ensure safe working conditions while using mucking loaders. Always stay vigilant and operate according to these procedures to protect both yourself and the equipment.
